7-Eleven adds to its cold-pressed juice line with new single flavours

7-Eleven has expanded its own-brand line of organic, cold-pressed juices with a new range made from 100% single juice varieties.

Three flavours of the new 7-Select Go!Smart range are available in the US: pomegranate, melon and blackberry. The pomegranate variant is made using 2.5 pomegranates and is said to be a “powerful source of antioxidants”. The blackberry flavour contains 165 blackberries and is a “good source of vitamin C”.

7-Eleven launched its cold-pressed range last year in a move to rival independent juice bars and premium juice companies. Four flavours have been on sale: clean and green, tropical glow, berry and bright, and restoration red.

Speaking of the new launch, Dion Miliaresis, senior product development manager for private brand beverages at 7-Eleven, said: “Today’s juice customers continue to look for more premium options. Each of the three new juices will be sourced from a single organic fruit – pomegranate, blackberry or melon.

“Pomegranate juice, specifically, has seen significant growth as a premium juice in the US because of its high levels of antioxidants and other nutrients. Both blackberry and melon juices are great tasting and found at very few other retailers. They’re a great addition for our customers and their growing need for healthier options.”

The convenience retailer’s 7-Select Go!Smart portfolio is a response to US consumer demands for healthier foods and also consists of products such as fruit and nut blends and sprouted chips.

The new single fruit juice varieties are sold in 11.2-ounce glass bottles with a suggested retail price of $2.99.
